I've had a signed copy of this for the past year, and I've been meaning to pick it up, and I'm so glad I finally did. Elliot Page is someone I've always been aware of, but honestly, I didn't even know he was from Canada (and apparently went to high school with Drake, according to someone I met recently.)

This is a deeply compelling memoir from someone who didn't come out until much later in life and has lived through a very changing time for Trans and other Queer people. Elliot has a gorgeous writing style that makes you feel like he's just talking to you about his life.

I think Elliot has a very compelling story from someone who has experienced some of Hollywood's worst and continues to work to make it better.

While I admire Elliot’s courage and desire to share his story, I found this book incredibly hard to read. I wish it had been more in chronological order or had made more sense when jumping around in the timeline of his life. Also really didn’t care for the numerous “poetic” ways to describe poop… some things don’t need to be shared.

There were some good chapters (especially at the end).

Following the timeline of this book is like trying to follow a pin ball machine. I don’t know how old he was during almost every event, or in what order anything happened. Also he spent a lot of time describing what was happening around him not much introspective happening
