Not having read other books by Sarah Ready before, I didn’t know what to expect before reading Josh and Gemma Make a Baby. Needless to say, the story was sweet and entertaining.
Josh and Gemma story one of slow burn romance and it was a fun, easy read that many romance lovers would like.

It was cute and fluffy like I wanted it to be BUT it has one fatal flaw…insta-love (dundundunnnn). It just makes me upset because it was SO avoidable. They’ve known each other for so long that it makes sense for him to gradually have developed feelings. BUT NO the man said that on one random day he heard her laugh (after knowing her for 25 years) and boom: love. Sorry but I’m pretty dang sure it doesn’t work like that. But besides that, I thought that the infertility aspect was super nice to see and the support group was just the best. Seriously I actually wanted to be part of that support group.

Josh and Gemma Make a Baby handles the topic of infertility, IVF, family, friends, and romance. Yes, there are some great laughs, but also moments of great tears. I think this will be a popular book, but I don't need to read it again. The topics of cheating - in relationships and business - bothered me. I could see where a lot of the storyline was heading, but it did hold a couple surprises along the way. I would be interested in reading Josh's web comic series, Grimm and Jewel.

Interesting sequel for Josh and Gemma. This plot line was so unexpected. We left off with these two getting engaged in Josh and Gemma Make a Baby. One would assume we would be getting their happily ever after right off the bat, but that was not the case. We begin with these two preparing for their upcoming wedding. They are blissfully in love and ready to start the next chapter in their lives. Tragedy struck and Gemma ends up in a 3 month coma and wakes up not loving Josh. In fact she wakes up not feeling anything emotionally. Josh once told her love is better the second time around, these two definitely have their shot at love all over again. Love is expressed and shows up in many ways, not all days are good ones as we see with these two. I really enjoyed this book a lot, read it in a day! Looking forward to reading more by Sarah Ready.
