Im crying right now. This book is the world's best sequel and finale to a saga. I completely loved it

Whew! During this book I think I hit a reading slump. Kaz Brekker and the crew do it again! While I do think it was a bit long, it was riveting!

I loved going through this adventure and not knowing what the next step would be because I just don't think like Kaz, so I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. The only reason this book doesn't get a 5 star is because of Chapter 40. If you think that's not a good enough reason to take away one star, then we are very different types of readers. I did not think that it was necessary and it has made it hard for me to look forward to the next duology that features the Crows, but I do think that I will eventually be able to come back to this world it'll just take some time.

I had to remind myself not to cry so many times while reading this book. It was heart wrenching in the best way possible. I feel like for the most part my feelings on the Crows didn't change, but there were some shifts in the rankings. Definitely Matthias was my fav, and controversially I think Kaz was my least. And while there were many surprises, it did come a little predictable at the end. But I clearly really loved it.

Leigh Bardugo is a master. This book was filled with twist and turns and sometimes I had no idea what was going to happen next. I loved every second.

Man. I was really excited for this book but I remember when I finished Six of Crows the first time I thing I thought was “this sequel better be good otherwise there’s no point in there being a duology”. Well 500 pages later, and I still that way. Sure the book extends a lot of characters relationships with each other and fleshes out their backstories more but in the end I felt like these plot lines weren’t as interesting. The heist in this book was for sure less interesting, the new characters were ok at best and the ending didn’t feel like a true ending for half of these characters. Just more business that needs to be resolved. That being said the characters that we do already know were still amazing. The banter between them is fun and watching everything unfold was still satisfying. Just felt like this book didn’t really give too much.
