Candance Robinson's paranormal romances can always pull me out of a slump.

She does a good job of balancing both spicy scenes and the plot without overloading the reader. Her world-building is spot-on for the genre. I loved the twist on Alice in Wonderland and just the setting of Wonderland in general.

Her characters are fun, morally grey, and raw, which makes you root for them as you read their stories.

Since reading the prequel Rav, I have been anxiously awaiting Maddie, the first book in the Wonderland series.

Maddie is just a little mad, and boy does she loves her hat making. Life isn't the easiest for her tho. Her sister is being held in the dungeon and she hasn't seen her in 2 years.

Her sister wants her to help save Alice, a mortal girl that Rav turned into a vampire. While in the process, she meets Noah, Alice's brother. Not being able to leave him behind in the mortal realm, she brings him back to Wonderland. Things happen, and the adventure begins.

Many twists and turns in this book. You'll be cheering for someone to win, depending on who is your favorite. I know who I am cheering for, but I won't tell you who, just know I am happy happy happy.

Good to the last page and the epilogue was everything I could ask for and MORE!!!! Great lead in for Book 2, can't wait!!!.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Alice in Wonderland... with vampires! Yes please!!! I loved this book! Maddie, the hatter, is doing what she can to save her sister from the Queen of Hearts. All the original characters are recreated throughout the book and I squealed whenever another popped up. Such a fun fractured fairytale!

I absolutely loved this novel, in my opinion it's the best story using the well known characters from Alice In Wonderland and putting a marvellous twist on them.

Both Authors have created a unique twist on Wonderland with Vampires and Werewolves. The writing and world building as well as the character building were excellent in propelling me into a Wonderland but not as I knew it.
The adventures and twists that our characters found themselves in were perfect for the story. I kept turning the pages just to find out what would happen to our quirky Mad Hatter.

I loved the character Maddie, she had a flare to her that was both unique, witty and sarcastic. Hatpin anyone? (loved her brutality with hatpins)
She had an ultimate goal and she wasn't gonna let anything stand in the way, she had a fierce loyalty to her for better or worse.
The relationship between Maddie and Ferris I really liked, I wasn't surprised by their background info and I could tell there was an unspoken oath between them both, no matter would happen.

Mouse for me was just a background character, we only know a little about her, which i felt was odd as she was the main reason for the whole rescue mission. Though I do think I will find out more about her as her character develops as the series continues.

I actually loved all of the characters. There wasn't one that wasn't pointless they all interlinked and brought the story together.
I love the addition of Noah and I suspect we haven't seen the last of Alice.
Overall I felt like this was an excellent start to the series and I can't wait for the second book; Chess to come out!

Maddie as a girl??? Perfection! I love this quirky, caring, loving, broken main character so much!! This darker fantasy Alice in Wonderland, with steamy romance is amazing!! I cannot wait to read about more characters!

One of the things I love about this book is how different it is from the original movie, which feels like a acid trip. In this book we have duel perspectives. This is something I really like to see in books. Maddie, aka the mad hatter, and Noah, are both trying to save their sisters from really bad people. I like the fact that In this book the mad hatter is a woman and not a man which I think is very fun. The banter between Maddie and Noah is amazing, which I think helped build the sexual tension between the two of them. The authors added characters, which were not in the original movie, and by doing so the dynamics between some of the characters changed. If you don’t like really steamy sex scenes I would say don’t read this book. The friendship between Maddie and Ferris is so good that they will go to bat for each other and I love that.

Thank you so much to Candace and Amber for once again providing me with an ARC. All opinions are still my own.

I am so thankful that Candace has continued to reach out to me to read each one of the books she's worked on. I have not read a bad book so far. I loved the novella that brought us into the world of Wonderland and Maddie gave such a great start to this new series! This is inventive, fun and such an interesting twist on the typical Alice in Wonderland retelling.

This has drama, spice, witty banter, pining, and high stakes, plus magic. You can't go wrong reading this! It's basically Alice in Wonderland all grown up.
