this book is so good. i've read it like 20x and read it for the first time in middle school and it still holds up. re-reading this series now to be able to discuss it with a kid at work! such a good dystopian retelling of cinderella. cinder is a cyborg mechanic in new beijing and prince kai comes to her to get his droid fixed. political intrigue, threats of war, plague, and an evil queen who lives on the moon? what more could you want?
