I am curious to dip into a new series by Charlaine Harris and am delighted, when I find myself in a dystopian, alternate America, where the Russian tsar is in exile and tries to survive, and some sorts of magic is very much alive and kicking.
Gunnie Rose is just scraping by in the settlement she lives in and where she does runs with some others as gunslinger. The outside world has become dangerous and traveling is more a question of life and death than getting from a to b.
And thus the story starts and soon there are some Russian mages wanting Gunnie Rosie's services and she sets out onto an adventure of herself.
It's gritty, fast paced and delivered what I would expect from a thriller / urban fantasy novel.
