Wow! This is my 3rd COHO book and by far my favorite! I laughed, I cried, every emotion this book brought for me.

This book definitely brought redemption to Colleen Hoover for me

1 ⭐️ Hate it. NOT A ROMANCE!!!!!! Boring. Soooo much filler. Could have been a short story.
there is no excuse for leaving that man to die

after this one, i can definitely say I'm done with Colleen Hoover. I've read 4 of her considered best books, and I didn't particularity like either of them. the thing about her is that I LOVE the concept of her books. the execution? heh. not really. I also have issues with her writing: 1/4 of it is very beautiful and I like it a lot, it feels nearly poetical, and the other 3/4 is just so mediocre to me, even bad. I definitely think she's way overhyped, but I mean, tastes are tastes.
moving on this book in particular, as I said, I loved the concept behind it, and I highlighted many quotes, but I ended up finding it very mediocre. I think the romance is what ruined it all: it felt very nonsense and ruined most of the emotional scenes. it definitely took way too much in the novel than what I would've preferred. the characters were fine, while I do wish we dive more into kenna. it was mostly plotless and I found it slow and repetitive over time. at the end, I'm sad to say I didn't enjoy this as much as I hoped to.

I think I’ll give the book a 3,75…. It had a good start then it started to only rely on romance and that wasn’t the reason I was reading this book. Don’t get me wrong I love romance but I expected coho to give it more plot twist and angst and idk romance intertwined with that. The reason it’s almost a 4 is because it didn’t give me a 3 vibe and it actually made me shed tears which I have a hard time doing reading books.

I don’t know I guess I expected “excitement” like her talking to her daughter behind Scotty’s parents' back or more “drama”. I probably would have liked it more if I read it before my exploration of Colleen Hoover's books. Then the rest of the books would be more of going up the straits, it gets better and better. But because my expectations were high on the way coho present her book it was a bit underwhelming.

I liked it, didn’t explode with feelings when reading it but it is a coho book and I love that hoe!

I liked this book and the plot. I liked how Colleen chose to present the characters, and how she chose to reveal things later on. The POV switch gave insight into how the other person was feeling, and I liked that I could see things from two perspectives,
and how gradually, they seemed to come together as Kenna and Ledger fell in love.
I thought that the book was pretty slow. I wish she would have put a sub-plot in, because the main plot wasn’t quite enough for me to keep it interesting. It did get better in the end, but I thought the ending was predictable. Overall, great book, but not her best. I would compre it to “Layla”.

It was good! I think it dragged on for way too long and it felt like a chore to finish it, but the storyline was nice! I really, really loved the ending, though I wish we could've seen more of a make-up story with Kenna, Grace, and Patrick.

*edit*
now that I'm thinking abt it, i really am not a fan. idk it was bleh. whenever someone talks about it i cringe

would most likely reread it, but not definitely ☑️
