The Queen has done it again. Magic. That's all that needs to be said.

This is such a beautiful, heartbreaking story of forgiveness that i feel like everyone can learn from. It always amazes me how Colleen Hoover makes you question and rethink the “villains” of a story. She reminds me everyone deserves compassion, happiness and forgiveness. Even yourself.

Colleen Hoovers novel 'Reminders of him' definitely aches at the heart strings.
Has to be one of my favourite novels I have read. Like it ends with us, Colleen Hoover is able to address another serious topic occurring in society, in a tasteful, raw, and realistic manner. Addressing it the way it should be....
The character development, the way Colleen Hoover explores the of themes of grief,  forgiveness, and redemption from different perspectives of the plot.... makes you left questioning which side you should be on....
Firstly let's start with Kenna; the first female character in a novel that I have ever felt connected with: the way she believed she was so unworthy of a relationship with her daughter not only based on her fears of repeating history like her own mother, but because of her fear of letting her down like she was made to believe she did for Scotty.
Her ongoing battle between blame and hope - the fact she believes she is not worthy of forgiveness based on other characters bias views of Kennas character. ' your taking the worst moment of kennas life and you are making that moment who she is.' We are slowly killing her by continuing to drag out her pain.' - ' I hate that my choices from one night years ago have somehow created another casualty all these years later.'
Patrick and Grace... conflicted... i understand there level of grief and loss.. however, in a way, i feel they never gave Kenna a chance: they always had a preconceived idea of her without getting to know her. They wanted someone to blame for the loss of their son.  'I felt i was been graded'. - ' the impact of her choices has been detrimental to their lives, but the impact of their choices is becoming detrimental to her life.'
Ledger.... needs to be protected at all costs... period.
Highly recommend this book: a great example to not judge a book by its cover... LITERALLY!!!!
