A buddy comedy featuring an 18-year-old gay main character and his 34-year-old mother who go to get a little "light revenge" on the exes who've hurt them...only to accidentally commit arson on one of the homes they enter and now, they're on the run.

This is an outlandish and wild story and a whole lot of fun. It's easy to both loathe the main characters and totally feel for them. How much I didn't want them stuck in jail and yet, I also wanted them to get some kind of punishment for their acts. The twist on where
Spoiler bail comes from is one of my favorite little tropes -- almost to the level of [b:Exquisite Corpse|22718721|Exquisite Corpse|Pénélope Bagieu|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1410982262l/22718721._SX50_.jpg|12856500]
.

A number of reviews label this as YA, but it's not. The imprint is adult, the humor is adult, and the voice is adult. It has significant crossover appeal, for sure.

Such a fun and light reading, I felt the ending was a little rushed but really enjoyed the story.

Ya know, she's fine. Sometimes we just need a generic ole story with nothing too exceptional. Likable and empathetic characters for the most part. Those 2 boys are cute.
