(free review copy) Alexa Martin, please NEVER EVER STOP WRITING THESE BOOKS ❤️ they make me actually have hope that pro football isn’t as horrible as I usually think it is and the men are swoon-worthy and sensitive and the women are fierce and hilarious. LOVE. You could read this as a stand-alone but I’d start back at book 1 to get all the backstory!

DNF. Goodness. This woman writes like a groupie. I can’t take anymore.

I really like this series! I love the family that all the women have created and how much they love and support each other! And I really love Alexa’s writing! Even though this series was written a few years ago so some of the language is dated (in the most nostalgic way!!), all of the characters are FUN  and don’t take themselves too seriously.

I did really like Brynn! She was fiercely independent! I loved how much she loved owning her own bar and how proud she was of it! And the fact that it became the hub for all the goings on for the women was so sweet! And I loved that even though she was SURE she never wanted or needed a relationship and especially not one with a football player, she ended up in one anyway!

I did like Maxwell and Brynn together! I thought they were exactly what the other needed! But I also feel like I had a lot more questions than answers at the end…. I hated the way Maxwell was so secretive, then in turn how Brynn reacted to the reveal… The last part really fell flat for me. I feel like this is one that could have really benefited from being dual POV, I would have loved to be in Maxwell’s head a little more!

BUT I’m still going to read the last book! I can’t wait to see where everyone ends up! And I love Alexa Martin so I’ll keep reading her book because they do in fact make me so happy! I loved the epilogue!! It was SO SWEET to see Marlee and Gavin again! And I loved being able to see Poppy, TK, and Ace throughout the book! I also loved that Brynn’s dad loved Ace like his own grandson!

I really enjoyed this! It started out a little slow, but I love Maxwell with my entire being. He is so sweet and perfect. I also love characters that run restaurants and bars so Brynn is definitely a character that I enjoyed reading about.

I liked Brynn, but I wasn’t a fan of the miscommunication in this book. There’s miscommunication in all of the books, but this was just extreme. I also wasn’t a fan of the ending, but I overall still enjoyed the book for what it was.

Was mostly just bored, there wasn’t much chemistry with the characters and they barely interacted.
