Enjoyed it a lot, though Nicholas was such a weeny for so long. Also would've liked a bit more resolution on some things, although I just now realized the next books are about the other people in their families, so I'm not as miffed. Also, everyone needs an Aunt Maile.

Strong contemporary romance with a dynamic couple at its center and a larger complex family situation with multiple layers.

Lots of intensity and feels in this Romeo & Juliet feuding families/lovers torn apart as youngsters romance. Not quite as much on the character front as I usually like, but the BIG FEELS make up for the loss. And an interesting thread about mental health issues, too, and how decisions about self-care play into one's romantic choices.

So good! I loved the characters and the story and the slow unfolding. I did find at times the writing felt clunky and I had to reread to ensure clarity.

Wow, this was everything I'd hoped it would be.

Romeo and Juliet set up with sensitively portrayed and diverse characters and lots of steamy scenes.

Also, because I'm playing way too much Puzzles and Empires lately, I picture Sharan when I'm reading about Livvy.
