I think this book is unfinished or was rushed or both because what the heck was that?

I was at the 3-star mark for most of the book because even before the mess that was the ending the book was mediocre. For 80% of the book, the plot wasn't anything special, the characters were a mess and everything was just so bland and so ill written. I can't describe it because I will take too long but it felt like the entire book had no direction or path so it was roaming uselessly. And then the accident happened and it felt like the author just wanted any climax point so she just slapped an accident there and voila something is now here but she didn't explore it and she didn't let us live the anguish of the characters she instead brushed over a life-threatening accident like it was nothing where the character was supposed to lose his life and instead lost a lot of integral functions.

This book feels like it was written on Wattpad by a newbie author.

It doesn’t matter what I have going on my life at any given time, if JT Geissinger releases a book, I’m going to stop everything to read it, because I know what lies in store for me:
• clever banter • Compelling characters
•meaningful friendships •laughter..followed closely by tearful moments
• Paragraphs that make me stop, think and ponder ..and wish I had come up with the genius phrasing myself.
Needless to say, this book was no different than my previous experiences with her writing.

Cole McCord is the type of male main character readers will flock to. He’s emotionally intelligent, reserved but sensitive, with a brilliant mind and unrivaled physical prowess. He takes care of problems before one even knows they exist. A hero and villain wrapped into one beautiful package.

Shay is quite possibly my favorite female main character… ever. She’s charming and sweet, emotionally available, even though she’s been on the receiving end of heartache. I love her optimism and take charge attitude. She doesn’t wait for someone to tell her what she needs, she discerns what she wants and takes it without reservation. Her zest for life was refreshing. I loved her feistiness and courageous spirit.

The chemistry between these characters was UNREAL . I sat with my mouth agog, wondering how on earth I was going to read without my retinas burning from the spice the pages of their story contained. Morally Grey all day, is what I say!

I absolutely look forward to the third and final McCord brother, Carter’s book.

This is second book in this series and this was so hot and sexy like you have a strong woman and a guy that has nicknames at the office. Like Cole and Shay didn’t want to stay away from each other but because of the rule that he had put into at work they couldn’t do anything about it. But when the button they both push comes to a head there is nothing in the world to stop them from being together. The scene will they also did I think was the turning point for both of them to say hell with the rule and begin the happy ending together. #bookstagram #books #bookworm #booklover #bookish #bookaddict #bookaholic #bookblogging #booktok #igreads #insttabooks #booksbookboooks #kindlepaperwhite #bookobsessed #bookstagrammer #fivestarread

Rating says 4⭐️but it’s more like 3.5 ⭐️

This book had some good moments but it’s probably my least favorite from the author. The dialogue was clunky and I’m not really crazy about the kind of insta love thing that was going on either. I also didn’t find myself being that attached to the characters like I’ve been with other stories. That said, the last 10% made me a bit sad.
