this book is absolutely heartbreaking. hearing everything she went through for EIGHTEEN YEARS is insane. it’s so beyond messed up. what a beautiful story though in the end of unlearning and healing.

This book is heartbreaking but I’m glad that she got out of that environment and is living a much better life with her family and daughters. I can’t even imagine how much trauma she has endured from this. She is a strong person and I’m glad she told her story!

What an incredible honor to be able to hear Jaycee's story, and especially to hear her tell it herself. Very difficult to hear, but through the whole piece she reflects and shows her incredible strength. The writing is just a bit repetitive, but that is to be expected coming from someone with her unique background and experiences. So well done.
