I don't even know what to say. This book made me cry tears I've never thought I'd experience. It was chilling, gruesome, and absolutely heartbreaking. This memoir is one that is going to stick with me forever and has opened my eyes to so much. It's a must read if you want to educate yourself of the horrors of trafficking and abduction; this memoir gives you all of the details. It explains the entire timeline from the 18 years she spent in captivity and how she was freed from her abusers. It's truly heartbreaking but educational and informative. It amplifies the importance of knowing the signs and to speak up if you see something. There were parts of this book that made my blood boil and I was so angry. I cannot even begin to imagine some of these things, but reading it has only made me want to find more ways to help and to fight back.
