The book series has just helped make my favourite avatar to be even more awesome and have some more fleshed-out history to her!

Slow start to the book but it picked up halfway through. I missed some of the characters from the first book, but it was a fun look into kyoshi’s avatarhood after she’d been doing it for a little while. I’d read a million stories of avatar kyoshi

while i liked the first book more, this was still a fantastic read. i loved the expansion of the lore (kuruk you deserved so much better) and the emotional beats of the story really got to me.
