Things We Left Behind by Lucy Score

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5)

Genre: Romance

About 580 pages

In the last book of the Knockemout series, we finally get the story of Sloane and Lucian. For years there has been tension between them, both sexual tension and hatred. But After seeing their friends fall in love over the past few years, they’ve softened up a bit which is how their fighting turns into foreplay. In an effort to prove how wrong they are for each other, they decide to sleep together one time. But that one time didn’t accomplish what they had hoped. Now they are questioning if they can forgive each other for the past and if there is a compromise on what they want for the future.

This was by far my favorite book in the Knockemout series! The primary reason for this is the build-up we got on Lucian and Sloane in books one and two and their long-standing history. I also liked how this book jumped back and forth between the past and present. Score did a fantastic job neatly wrapping up the series in this book!

Favorite Quote: “Sometimes you have to stop waiting for something to happen and start making it happen.”

yes, i know the smut scenes are fantastic, and we all know that line but i’m blushing giggling kicking my feet at “let me wash your hair.” lucian fucking rollins, the man that you are. the enemies to lovers was really doing its thing in this book, too. especially when
they were literally insulting each other on their wedding day as a way to calm down. icons.
