Writing was amazing as always, as was lenu’s grief at being left behind by her childhood friends who have come into adulthood much earlier than her, and of never being good enough for those in her new spaces. Lower rating than expected by the miscommunication and messiness between characters in this book, I could not deal 😭

I couldn't put it down! I got so attached to Lila and Lenu I wanted to know every single detail of their lives.
It felt so natural and autobiographical. Not going to say more and spoil it!
