Absolutely loved this book just like the first. I could not put it down, think I found another new favorite author!

Bane was much better for me than Cursed was. We get a whole new cast of characters but our familiars from Cursed (Aimee, Aleks, Shane) all still appear though the focus is not on them. The way the plots weave together is quite exceptional. Tara takes us down a darker path this go round and it is intense. Ari is just a normal girl until tragedy hits .... from her own hands. Using a gift she wasn't aware she had changes her entire world. A lifetime of memories of suffering pain, abuse and loneliness mix with her current memories of happiness, love, and family only causing confusion, fear, and maybe a whole lot of chaos. Bane has so many twists that I couldn't predict what would come next. The scenes that involved abuse were written very well, giving us the information we needed without being too descriptive. I look forward to reading Hyde and see if the pattern continues with all new characters.

Ooh I'm a sucker for sci-fi and the character of Ari makes my nerd soul sing. Multiple time lines and the devastating consequences of of a single touch on multiple people? That being said, this author is a sucker for love triangles and sex. Still a fast read and I loved some of the more subtle themes.

I read the first book and I decided to read the second. I did not like the second one nearly as much. This book was confusing and hard to follow. The constant going back in time and everyone now knowing what they were doing or who they were supposed to be with was hard to follow. I was also disappointed that there wasn't more of a plot line involving Aimee and Shane (they are my favorite two characters).
However, the book still left me with a lot of unanswered questions so I think that I will buy the next book, just to see if Aimee and Shane finally get together.

I really enjoyed Book 1, Cursed and couldn't wait to jump into this book.
I loved that in this book we learn about a new character called Ari, she has a special gift but she doesn't realise how special it really is until she comes to use it.
I also loved the fact that we still have Aimee's POV, she is the main character from Book 1.
We see all these different lives Ari has lived and I really enjoyed the way they we portrayed. While reading you knew straight away there had a been a change with Ari.
While I did enjoy Cursed, I absolutely loved this book. There was more to the storyline, more action, more romance, just a whole lot more going on.
I can't wait to read the next book in the series and find out what's going on.
This is turning into an amazing series so far!
