I liked it for the history and library aspect. The modern times story was less interesting. Didn’t necessarily love the ending and how everything just worked out and was wrapped in a perfectly neat little bow.
All the feels on this one. The complicated feels and emotions of family dynamics were flowing through this book. Early 1900 women’s rights and roles were discussed. All the while a mystery of theft and missing people and who to trust splattered through out. This is a deep story based loosely on a true historical event..a family did live in the New York library. Women were trying to find their own place in this world.

The Lions of Fifth Avenue’s story alternates between to women, Laura Lyons in 1913 and her granddaughter Sadie in 1993. Both of these women’s lives revolve around the iconic New York Public Library and thefts of valuable literature. This is a powerful tale about two amazing women who are holding everyone and everything around them together. The mystery of the missing books is a bonus.

A best seller only because it is a promotion of LGBTQ and dismantling of the family unit. Writing was difficult. It was hard to connect with the characters and follow the modern day story.
