The Christmas Party is an interesting psychological thriller that kept me hooked from start to finish. Set in an isolated hotel in the English countryside, the Bailey family reunites for the first time in ten years, only for the night to take a deadly turn. The story is filled with likeable ( and dislikeable) characters, each with their own secrets and motives, making everyone a suspect when a family member is found dead at the foot of the grand marble staircase.

I will say the ending left me with more questions than answers, but it is a series so I may pick it up again and read the next one.

It wasn’t good, but I enjoyed myself. Although where were the Christmas vibes?

2.5. Predictable

The way this book started it had me wondering what the heck was going on. Obviously through it with a bit of jumping around you get some twists that keep coming and even though this book doesn’t leave you in a cliffhanger, it does kind of lead into the next. Overall it was a fun read and I will read the next at some point.

A decent premise but it fell a little short for me. None of the characters were likeable or had much depth. It took to 70% for something to happen. And the twists were that shocking.
I really wanted to like this one more but other than the writing style being good and easy to read, the setting and the premise of the book, I didn't enjoy it as much as the authors other books I've read.
Still a decent Christmas thriller but it's a slow burn for sure.
