Very easy and quick to read. Wasn't a fan of the writing style, never quite got into it. Some good twists.
The tale as old as time as family strife and struggles is brought forth in this story of an estranged sister and the party to reunite them.
I’m not sure I can adequately express why I disliked this book so heavily without spoilers, so I may come back and give a more detailed review and flag it for spoilers.
My first annoyance is that Erin married Aaron. And I’m sure this seems silly, because in real life this would be so cute to me, however it made figuring out which character was talking or being talked about very tricky when listening to the audio. Definitely takes away from the enjoyment of a book when you have to try to focus extra hard to make sure you’ve gotten all the context clues to identify the character.
The only character I found likable was Sasha’s daughter and she’s hardly in the book at all.
There are additional books in this series but I won’t be reading them, and I would suggest looking elsewhere for a good holiday thriller.

Fast-paced read that kept me hooked from start to finish. Just when I thought I had everything figured out, the story threw in twists that completely surprised me. Loved the dysfunctional family dynamic they are all messy. It added layers of tension and depth to the plot, making every revelation even more impactful.

This was just ok for me. Not horrible, but I had a hard time getting into this. So much family drama and not a lot going on but back story for a big portion of the story. This was a book club pick and I didn’t realize it was part of a series. I have no interest in reading the others, but if you like a book with lots of family drama with a murder mystery and a few good twists, then I would recommend this.

It wasn't awful, but it wasn't good at the
same time. It wasn't a bad listen but i
couldn't recommend it to anyone. Like she
tried to put every plot twist into the book.
The flow was a bit choppy. Also, listened
to it, and having two characters named
Erin and Aaron was not the greatest
choice

I think I have discovered that I do not enjoy books where there is not a single character with one, single redeeming quality. I mean, I am all about having a morally grey character. That makes a book interesting! However, when I am really just annoyed and outright disgusted with every single character in a book ... that is what I consider a terrible book experience.
