What a fantastic read. The Nostalgic throughout the book was great, brought back a lot of memories from my own childhood of the 90s. The twists and turns made this a great page turner. I always found it hard to put this book down. I am definitely a new fan of S.R. Masters.

It took me ages to finish this one because by about a quarter in I mostly lost interest. It was kind of obvious where it was all leading and none of the characters really were very interesting or engaging. The only reason I hung in there was because I wanted to know why Strachan beat up Will. In the end, not that interesting.

I would give this one a miss.

I thought this was a pretty decent read especially considering the reviews it has! I read it quickly despite it being a little over 400 pages and I loved the timeline idea. I thought the whole story was pretty gripping until the end. I didn’t see the twist coming but after the twist I feel like it slowed down a lot. Other than that I enjoyed it and it was a pretty good and quick read for me!

What would you do if you suspect that one of your old friends is a serial killer?
This is the story of Adeline who will return to her childhood’s village for a high school reunion and when she meets her old gang one of them is missing. And as they started to remember their time together, some stood up on their mind; he planned the perfect way to being a serial killer without being noticed. It seemed a joke in that moment, but now some people are appearing dead and he is missing like he said… Could it be a book more intriguing and dark? Because the joke didn’t end here, he said that the last victims should be one of them, one of the group of friends. So, who would be able to stop the killer before is too late?
The story is told between the past; with the memories of all the friends, showing their real character and all the secrets between them. While on the present we will follow the friends investigating the murders and trying to discern who would be the next victim. Or if they are seeing ghosts where there aren’t… What do you think?
This had been a twisted and gripping story; the characters are interesting and they are keeping a few secrets hidden to surprise the reader, of course!
I would not like to be on the skin of these friends, trying to discover if one of their oldest friend is a murderer. They have to accept that he was a little bit weird, but there’s a big step between being weird and being a killer, don’t you think?
So, be prepared for an original story that will make you to keep reading till the end of the book!

The Killer You Know was a book I really, really wanted to love. It sounded like such a different and compelling thriller. Will says he wants to be a serial killer in high school. His classmates think it's a joke, but also, whoa dude. Fifteen years later, the gang makes it back home. Will isn't there, and they start to wonder if he pursue this path. Clues start to indicate that might have been the case. Going back and forth between the present and a dangerous game they played as kids, secrets are unveiled, as they all wonder what really happened with Will. Part of my error in reading this one was I spread it out too much. Given all the past and present, I should have read it in a tighter timeline, especially with the various timelines in the book. That said, I also found I just didn't connect with the characters. The plot moved along okay, but I just didn't feel many feels for the people that were involved. That might not have been the intent, but that connection also mean the thrills weren't so deep for me. If you are into thriller as a process though, this could be for you.
