A great mystery! It wasn’t overly dark and captivated my attention that I listened to it over a day and half. The audiobook had a great narrator.

What a mysterious and wild ride and to end on the single most perfect and powerful word? Chef’s kiss!

It was pretty unbelievable. I liked the writing, and the audiobook performance was good though.

It is an engrossing story. Touches the difficulty of family,  friendly and romantic relationships. How do we know who to trust? Do we know someone from their past or for their character? Is it possible to know their character fully without knowing the biggest event in their past?
I enjoyed reading this thriller. It was full of mystery. It broke my heart at times and made me laugh at others, making me suspicious and anxious  alongside the characters.

I felt like I missed a key element, namely why did Ethan’s father-in-law hate him so much and why did his “clients” want to kill him so badly? If Ethan was such an amazing father and husband and person, what exactly made him so hated by his wife’s family? I otherwise enjoyed the book. I just needed a better story/explanation for him to start his life over completely.

This one was too detailed. To the point where several times I wanted to say “let’s get on with it.” The overall premise of the book was interesting with a father disappearing with only a note for his new wife and a package for his teenage daughter left behind. Even with the father barely in the story, he was probably the least likable character.

Entertaining quick fly through the pages read. I give Apple TV credit the show is remarkably aligned with the book in impressive detail.
