An utterly pointless book with a pleasing writing style yet absolutely no substance, like a dry cupcake with a pretty wrapper on the outside.

We spend basically the entire book listening to this man whine and self flagellate under the guise of admitting some sort of dark truth, but the truth is we barely get to see him be the villain he's supposed to be, as it's all but glossed over in early pages. Once the point of the story emerges, there's a brief glimmer of hope in our newly introduced female character, but without giving any spoilers the conclusion of that storyline had about as much appeal to it as the storyteller's wet member flopping meekly in his hands.

Truly, style over substance, but written with a carelessness more often seen in bored columnists than literary authors, spelling mistakes abound, rambling nature seeming less and less like a creative choice and more like no editor could stand to be in the room with the author of this book for enough time to let him know he might want to include a capital letter, maybe a full stop.

The opposite of dry, this was WET prose, and it delivered nothing.

I’m very torn and so tired so I’ll just leave some bullet points

I’m not sure wether I’m fascinated by the author or hating him or feeling with him.

He’s a really broken man spending part of his life breaking others until it comes right back to him.
(I always go by the thought that you WILL exactly get back what you’ve given and this book shows that perfectly.)

Later on he seems like a person trying to achieve a better life and happiness.

He is real and doesn’t sugarcoat a bit. I appreciate that honesty a lot, especially with him allowing us a look into the thoughts of a man taking advantage of women and having special techniques to manipulate them.

However, there were some really questionable things mentioned in the book I’ll make a video about that and discussing wether he’s problematic or not.

I am genuinely torn between giving this book 3 or 4 stars so I’ll leave it with 3.2 stars for know.

Good night.

I love flawed narrators and dark narratives, but this is just poorly written

I was really excited to read this but drags for so long and the ending isn’t  satisfying. The whole book is just him complaining and oh my god a giant chunk of the book is dedicated to the main character complaining about living in minnesota i was so sick of hearing about it and there was no other plot he just complained and it never came back so what was the point. Look I was interested in hearing his perspective learning about his past and what he thinks of what he dose to women and how he sees himself iits very interesting i just wish that more things happened during the book and that it was more dramatic rather then dreaded
