Best Laid Plans is everything I love about Lauren Blakey’s books. It was funny, had a witty and relatable heroine and a strong, loyal and handsome hero.

Arden and Gabe were friends, but when Arden needs some help with embracing her naughty side she comes up with a plan to get some help from her best friend, Gabe. Of course, little does Arden know that Gabe has had a thing for her for some time.

This story was a SLOW, SLOW burn but worth every single minute. Gabe and Arden’s friendship was amazing and I loved it, but when they finally jumped into the deep end with each other it was EXPLOSIVE. Of course, it wasn’t a simple decision to take the plunge, especially for Arden.

Not only did I love Arden and Gabe’s relationship, but I love Arden’s friendship with her two besties, Perri and Vanessa. Those girls seem like such a blast and I can’t wait for their stories!

Another FANTASTIC story and a MUST READ by Lauren Blakely.

I forevermore will not listen to books with Erin Mallen narrarating. Her voice is just so awful. It really takes a lot away from the book because in real life...no one talks how she speaks.
The storyline is cute but Erin Mallen ruins all books. I don't understand why authors hire her. I originally thought the narrator was solely based on what publishing agency had contracts with but after reading some of the authors Q&A's I realized she picks them herself. The only reason I know this Narrarators name is so that I stay away from other story's with her in them.
I am certain that I am not the only one who feels this way.
Thank you for letting me vent.

This book is stupid. I need to stop reading romance, as I am clearly totally over the genre.

4/5 stars! This was super cute and steeeeeamy...! A slow burn romance that kept heating up until the fourth act! The ending was a little cheesy, but that’s sort of to be expected. I really enjoyed this one! Very quick read, and we love a feminist man who actually *cares* about his partner!

Gabe has had a crush on Arden for the year he's known her, but his playboy reputation have had her exiling him to the friend zone. They've become very good friends, and Arden doesn't want to risk ending the friendship for the possibility of romance. However, when she realizes that none of her exes have met her needs because she's perceived as a "good girl," she decides to ask her playboy BFF for lessons on walking on the wild and sexy side.

Arden and Gabe are adorable, and their flirting is too cute. His reaction when she asks for his help is priceless (and his reaction when he realizes wants to pretend to do dirty things with him, not actually get naked together is even better). They're proof that taking it slow can be the best way to start a relationship.

OMG the narration was brilliant and this was such a great listen! The characters were great and the story itself was refreshing!! LOVED that this wasn't the typical trope of friends to lovers. Lauren writes characters that are relatable and likable. You also end up falling for the secondary characters which makes you want to learn more!! Can't wait for the next book "The Feel Good Factor' which features two secondary characters from "Best Laid Plans"!

Listened to it on Audible. That was definitely the right choice! The narration was great, and the story was even better. I love a heroine who is her own woman, doesn't mind talking openly with her girlfriends, and isn't defined by who she is with. Gabe was strong without ever talking down to Arden or making her feel like she wasn't enough.

I just loved this one so much! (I don't even think I rolled my eyes once... that is really the highest praise I can give)

In honor of Arden love for lists, I need to list what I loved in this book, and it’d be a shot list if I just said everything, so lets try and expand on it:
1- Gabe. He is now my favorite hero from Lauren’s books.
2 – Arden. What is not to love? She is a book lover like us!
3 – Rescue cats living in a bookstore!
4 – A really great group of friends
5 – Crazy book club ladies
6 – A man that loves his family

Ok, let me stop here so I don’t tell you everything that happened on the book, but I have to say that I read it with a smile on my face. Really, I couldn’t stop smiling. Go grab your copy and read it!
