adventurous slow-paced

the story dragged in a few parts, but overall it was super enjoyable. also knowing that this story was an inspiration for most of my favourite fantasy books makes me look at it from a different perspective.
i got the audiobook from my library in cd form, so it was a kinda nice ritual to pop a new cd in whenever i had the time. really liked the narrator, too, can't wait to listen to the next installments :)

Listen it’s a classic fantasy for a reason. It’s the book by which most other fantasy base themselves. It’s epic and delightful.

It's so great to have Andy Serkis narrating this series! Besides just doing a great job, I love that they got a narrator who holds this series as dear to his heart as I do. (And was even in the movie lol)

Okay, unpopular opinion, but this was hard for me to get into! It had such a slow pace that it doesn't really count as a page-turner. Frodo was just walking through the woods for sooooooo many pages. Maybe I'll read it again in the future.
