Read these books at 12 and was very disappointed. Listening to this audiobook that I found was revolutionary, enjoyed the story massively more this time through. I really appreciated the depth of the world and thought the characterisation was much clearer. This point was probably helped by the fact that the narrator of the audiobook was so great at voicing all of the characters. Having the film soundtrack under every scene also made everything extremely dramatic.

Den bästa boken i serien helt klart. Skippa resten (eller kanske inte).

Läste sagan om ringen första gången när jag var kanske 12 och då var det bland det bästa som hänt mig så det finns ett visst element av nostalgi eftersom det för mig tillbaka till det sommarlovet när jag valde att låta 6 kilo av min packning gå till dessa tre böcker och sen stannade inne för att sluka dem istället för att gå ut i den grekiska värmen och bada i medelhavet.
