The more the series lasts, the more obsessed I become with Iseult and Aeduan. I love them so much.

I also adore Safi and Vaness (great relationship) and Merik is finally developing a personality that is less annoying. Some of the new characters, namely Merik's sister Vivia, are really becoming interesting.

I can't wait for the next one!

I don’t want to wait for the next installment. I want it now. This world that Sudan’s Dennard is building is so rich. I can’t help but want to keep diving in and learning more!!

This book is a masterpiece. Bloodwitch takes the characters of the Witchlands on emotional journeys, heightens the stakes, and expands the world. This story complex yet fast-paced and strikes a perfect balance between being character focused and plot focused. In fact, Every POV is engaging, emotional, and has major importance within the story. Susan Dennard is a masterful storyteller and I’m always in awe at her beautiful writing and her ability to plant important seeds throughout the series. Like the previous books in the series, Bloodwitch made me immediately want to reread so I could take notes and form theories. I loved this book and I absolutely cannot wait for the next one!

Side note: While not technically required I strongly encourage everyone to read Sightwitch (the illustrated novella) before reading Bloodwitch. So many major plot points from that story come into play and while Susan Dennard is careful to fill in readers who might not have read it, you will definitely get more out of it if you do.

"Te varuje. I trust you as if my soul were yours. Aeduan had never thought he would hear those words spoken to him." - Susan Dennard, Bloodwitch

The best one yet! This installment was definitely a step up for me.

I was not prepared for that betrayal but I was ready for my Iseult & Aeduan moment. At this point I am so invested in the characters, I just want them to have a happy ending. I seriously think Susan is THE Weaverwitch. How does she write and weave 6 perspectives and storylines? I took numerous breaks yesterday because I was just overwhelmed by everything with my characters constantly on the run, the magical doors, treachery, the showdown between Merik and the Fury.... and the villains, they just need to die and return to the Void. And what the heck... The Rook king? I think I liked you better in bird form. I need book 4 soon, because I feel like I'm going to forget a lot of key information or I’m going to drive myself mad speculating lol.

I laughed, my eyes stung from sadness, my heart swelled from my favorite characters finding themselves, and I am trying to be content until this series is finished

Ahhhhhhhh I have such mixed feelings on this one. The first half was dry and felt like we were going nowhere. To be fair - they all start kinda dry in the beginning until the story gets rolling. This one however seemed to really keep rehashing crap we just didn’t need again

I will admit though, I was under the impression book 4 was the final installment to this series. Turns out - it’s not! So… guess I’ll forgive some of the slow annoying bits if it means we’re going to see more action coming up. Also less Merick please, like dear lord, let us just forget his POV. Ya know who I’d really like to get a POV from? Caden. He’s actually interesting & doesn’t have his head up his ass for 3 books.
