Gotta love Susan Dennard's writing, its so easy to read. Even with the slow pacing, I was able to get through the book without problems. You definitely need to read Sightwitch before this book to better understand most things, though. The book didn't focus very much on Aeduan, even though he is supposed to be the main character, which I thought was quite a shame. More and more characters are popping up, so the story is split between so many perspectives, which caused the plot to drag a whole lot. I do still really like the worldbuilding, though, so I probably will read the next book, if only to see more of the Witchlands. Hope it'll pick up the pace a bit, haha!
