This novella was almost too hard to read. My heart hurts.

It was a very quick read and I can see what the author was getting at. It did a lot in the short time it had to convey. If you’ve ever loved someone with dementia and watched them slip away this will definitely resonate. It was very interesting to see it from the perspective of the person going through it.

I am amazed at how well these characters were developed in such a short story. I cried and I learned from this. Beautiful and bittersweet.

A heartbreaking story of loss that gets right under your skin. Don't let its short length fool you into thinking you won't get invested in the characters or their journies.
