Nesta was very irritating in the beginning of this book. I am so glad to see how she grew as a person and changed her life around to help the night court. This book was an emotional rollercoaster and I am glad Cassian and Nesta got their HEA.

This was probably my favorite book out of all the books in the series. The change in narrative and perspectives between the characters wasn't as hard to follow as I thought previously. I see as to why the author introduced that writing style in the the second or third book so while reading this book it was a more natural approach.

The development in characters, specifically Nesta, was really well done. It was nice to see how one character that you kind of have an "ick" about, develop into a strong lead character by the end of it. I really enjoyed the development with Cassian's character, as well as Cassian's and Nesta's characters together, especially towards the end of the book. I did however find myself not enjoying the flip between scenes as it felt as though the author was teasing and toying with the plot you really wanted to follow, and switching back and forth, wondering how one narrative could possibly be more interesting, but then it did all come together to a page gripping suspense in the last 5-10 chapters. Loved that part about the writing style.

It does seem like there is a pattern in how the author is shipping characters together. So far two of the three brothers are paired with two of the three sisters. If Az and Elaine end up getting together, you herd it here first lol.

Final Thoughts: Really enjoyed the book overall, maybe more than the series itself.
