there was very little this story could do to make me NOT love it. like, cross dressing lesbian? sign me tf up!!

my heart is so full. turns out i actually can feel pure love and joy from a novel. groundbreaking.

I just ADORE this book! First off, the art style is BEAUTIFUL! The expressions of the characters are hilarious! They've got so much life in them and their personalities really shine through. I clothing design is gorgeous, everyone just looks so fancy and stylish. It makes me want to dress up instead of putting on the same old graphic tee. I love the way the trees and plants are drawn too. The color pallet is perfect, I'm in love with the color choices.

Secondly, the characters are fantastic. I love each of them so much, although Zola might be my favorite. Their personalities just shine through with the art and dialogue. They were practically jumping off the page.

Thirdly, the story was just plain cute. I loved the plot and I loved how the story was born. I could honestly read this over and over again...I might just read it again before I have to return it to the library. I'll definitely buy myself a copy for my own bookshelf.

Now I'm off to go make myself a grilled cheese sandwich. Reading this story has given my tummy the rumblies that only a grilled cheese sandwich can satisify.
