STAR RATING: 4/5⭐️

Review:

A unique magic system with a wonderful, relatable protagonist. Vin went through so much pain her entire life, and even with the aid of Kelsier… She felt happiness. She found a group of people who cared for her, who wanted to see her succeed, and did everything they could to keep her safe. Watching Vin grow from a young, terrified girl to a strong Mistborn with unbelievable power was worth every second.

“’You don’t stop loving someone just because they hurt you,’ he said. ‘It would certainly make things easier if you did.’”

Sanderson got his hooks in deep. I did not read a lot of books before this. I devoured the whole series.

Fantastic book! Brandon Sanderson is such a powerful world builder- I always enjoy his writing!

Mistborn is a unique fantasy about world ruled by a corrupt and cruel lord ruler. Tired of his harsh reign, a rebel group makes a plan to try and overthrow him and the government he has created. There is a small number of people called allomancers that are able to wield magic using different types of metals. They join in the fight attempting to overthrow the lord ruler.

I found the world building incredible and the allomancy a unique twist on magical powers. The characters were very likeable and I was cheering for them the entire story. Although, some terrible and heartbreaking things happened, I am dying to start the next book and see what happens!
