This was super cute! It felt like watching a romcom (in a good way, I love romcoms). I will admit that I enjoyed the first half more than the second, and the ending, while satisfying, felt really cheesy, and slightly rushed. I'm a sucker for the friends-to-lovers trope, but it works better when you can see the friendship before the romance kicks in, it feels a lot more genuine that way, at least in my opinion. Overall this was a fun book, and I look forward to reading more by Ashley Elston in the future.

Honestly this book was a huge surprise for me! Of course I love sappy YA romcoms and contemporary’s but I have seen so many negative reviews for this book my standards were low!

But oh was I wrong! This is a super cute book about a family setting up 10 blind dates for our lead character Sophia. Sophia recently broke up with her boyfriend and when her grandmother finds her crying, she makes it her mission to make Sophia happy again!

What I liked-
I actually loved Sophia. Yes she is the typical YA girl but, she was funny, emotional and not always perfect!
The fab 4 is the main group of friends in this book and I felt like they all actually were real best friends.
Wes. He is a love interest throughout the whole novel but is always unavailable due to his girlfriend. Lots of people say he has no personality or charm but I wholly disagree! He is super cute.
Sophia has a sister in the book, who is going through a tough pregnancy and I really enjoyed seeing this in a YA novel. It is something I don’t see often.
The maturity of the book. The dates were really funny and did not feel like a 10 year old was on a date. (I won’t give spoilers but the evil joes date was so funny, I actually laughed out loud)

What I disliked-
The huge cast of characters. I felt a little lost sometimes!
The length of the chapters, they were so long!!

If you enjoyed books like Anna and the French kiss I think you would enjoy this cute Christmas read!! 4/5 ⭐️✨

4.5* loved the story & the family dynamic, but I really wanted more out of the final relationship. I feel like there was all the build up and then the end result was a bit lacking

Well ...I fail to see how any of romance in this book was cute. Half-way through I got tired of dates because it was obvious whom will Sophie end up although Wes didn't have enough pages to form romance with her.
Bottom line: This wasn't awful. It was exactly eh.

"This is going to be the worst Christmas break ever... or is it?"

High School senior, Sophie, is excited to have alone time with her long-term boyfriend Griffin, when her parents decide to spend the holidays with her sister Margot, who is on bed rest. She overhears her boyfriend's conversation saying he wants to break-up with her; heartbroken she flees to her grandparent's house for Christmas break. Her grandmother wants to see her happy again, so her grandmother devises a plan for her very large family to set Sophie up with "10 Blind Dates" by different family members.

I thought this book was so stinkin' cute! It was everything I hoped it would be, and more. I think this is the perfect YA contemporary for the holiday season. This book is a fun, quick read that will put a smile on your face!
I absolutely loved the positive family dynamic that we don't get to see much in YA, and I really enjoyed that this story wasn't only about the blind dates (which was so much fun to read about), but it was about Sophie finding joy and happiness in her life again.
The only downfall of this book is that it is pretty predictable, but a lot of YA contemporary romance are. So, I don't have that big of an issue with it. I would keep that in mind if you're planning on picking this one up.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

It was cute and adorable. It unfortunately didn't keep me on my toes but it was comforting in its own little way. I loved the characters in this book and I love the funny bits in every page. A bit sad with the ending idk why but it was good nonetheless.
