I really liked it, but I felt like it didn't quite come together at the end.

What exactly are the consequences of Adam's sacrifice, and the ley line being woken? His whole character arc was leading up to that, and during that scene I thought for sure he was going to be possessed by the spirit of Cabeswater or something, but it felt like... nothing happened? Neeve disappearing also felt odd and anticlimactic. I don't expect everything to be explained in the first book of a series, but it felt like that whole scene in the forest ultimately didn't affect anything much.

One of my favourite books I've ever read actually, 10/10 !!!!!! Amazing group of characters who are all unique but enchanting in their own ways and I love their dynamics together. Also the plot is incredibly good and I find the folklore-y mysterious supernatural aspects to it SOOO cool, you're reading and just really want to know what's going to happen next. It's easy to read but still written really well. The vibe is really cosy in a way and these books are really enjoyable to read, you just get like sucked in. There's no unnecessary romances and all the characters are their own people with their own plots and stuff, not there for the sole purpose of having a romance which I really like.
Loved this book !!!!!!!!
