This one is a bit more gory and I love it! I'll never get enough of Peabody and Eve's banter. Oh, and Peabody's pink boots! I can see her wearing them with her sun shades.
I won't rate this because it was a great J D Robb novel, however it was even gorier and more messed up than usual, I was not in the right headspace to read this and thus didn't really enjoy it. Fans should go ahead and read but probs not if you're having a downer day and I wouldn't recommend starting Robb with this one.

Now that I've literally read a couple dozen of these book, I particularly enjoy the books that deal with something other than a "standard" serial killer. I also liked this volume for the scenes in which Eve confides in Mira and Peabody about the event in Dallas that occurred in a previous book .

J.D. Robb has really stepped up her game in this book. I listened to it in audio and just when I was prepared to be bummed out because the book was over another twist occurs which gave me another hour of enjoyment.

I knew this one was going to be a favorite from the start. The large scale atrocity made it that much more. And I love when Eve and Summerset have little truces, which they did in this. They both care for each other, despite their appearance and I like to see it.
Oh and it had a major twist... I thought it was time to look up the next book and th en suddenly it wasn't over and things were intense. And now I'm Off to another one :)

I think this really is my favorite series of all time. The characters are great and I love seeing how they have evolved over the series. Each book is just as good as the last one. Surprising twist at the end of this one. I liked the doomsday cult aspect. With so many people these days interested in doomsday/apocalyptic events I think this fits right in and relevant to today even though these are set slightly into the future. Can't wait to see what the gang has in store for them next!
