Not my favorite of the series but as always an enjoyable read.
Loved rereading this book, and when the main bad guy is caught, but the book's not over, that extra twist, had forgotten it, but loved it, this was such a great book!!!

This was a scary story!
A case with a very high number of victims that reminds of a terrorist attack and a race against the clock to catch the culprit before he strikes again and takes even more lives.
Eve has her hands full with this case and a number of people work with her, including someone from Homeland Security. In the meantime she has to deal with her nightmares which have gotten worse after.

Many references and emotions connected to other books from the series. The book jumps right I to action from the first pages.
There wasn't as much of the side stories with the characters the main plot was a big focus. There is some more depth to Summerset written in. There is some growth in Eve and mention of many characters from the department. I wonder how many will be brought in and mentioned again in the series.
We find out who the "bad guy" is fairly early on. We see how Eve catches him/her and gathers the evidence she needs. This set up has been done in some other books in the series, but don't worry there is a twist in the end.
I don't know how Robb does it, just when I think things will be the same set up as another book (which isn't necessarily bad) she does something to make it different, yet again, after so many books.

You would truly think that after 35 books and numerous short stories I would tire of Eve Dallas, but strangely I never do. Even if the stories begin to feel a little predictable or repetitive (which, actually, they don't) I still get engrossed in the book, happy to be in Dallas's world.
