As a child, this was the first sci fi/fantasy book that I read. I remember checking it out from the library and devouring it and all the sequels. I probably read the whole series 10 times before I turned 14. Even as a youngster, the religious overtones were obvious to me. I thought it would get to me, but I was able to accept them as part of the story and move on.
This graphic novel is a good adaptation of the story that I feel in love with. I like the limited color palette of black, white, and a mid tone blue. I like the fact that the story wasn't abridged. Overall, I loved the graphic novel and still adore the story.
Funny side note, I bought this book 3 weeks ago and just was able to read it. My husband said it was referenced in a speech and sales have skyrocketed. I hope people who didn't read it as a child can appreciate it as an adult.

Nice adaptation. Not much else to say! The story and the art didn't really blow me away, but it was still fun to revisit.

I remembered loving this story when I was younger, and I enjoyed the graphic novel version. It`s been so long since I`ve read the original that it`s hard to say how they compare, but this was a good, quick-read version of the story.
I was skeptical that I would like this graphic novel because I loved the original so much. I loved it. I thought it stayed very true to the original novel. Now to convince my children to read the original before the movie comes out. They both loved this graphic novel.
It's not really Hope Larson's fault that a Wrinkle in Time seems impossible to translate--there's just so much internal monologue that I think a lot gets lost in this. The full text book is hard enough to understand that cutting out a lot of the descriptions doesn't do much to really help.
