I'm a fanatic Wrinkle fan, so I wasn't sure how I would feel about the graphic novel adaptation. I thought Hope Larson did a wonderful job capturing the details and tone of the story. My favorite illustrations were Aunt Beast - hands down. I also liked how she illustrated tessering. Nicely done, but I do hope that students who discover the GN version also read the novel.
This was my favorite book as a kid, so I was super excited to see it made into graphic novel form. The artwork was wonderful, and it really helped you to visualize the world of Camazotz and all the characters.
Love the original story but I'm not sure about this graphic novel interpretation. I enjoyed some parts but the blue colors threw me off. By the end, the story felt REALLY compressed, without the space or subtly of the original. Adding images doesn't make up for the story being mostly told in dialog and the images - of space and planets and stars and evil - are not given the majesty and room to breath they require.
An interesting childrens science fiction book. It is a little strange that the villan is simply a brain and that Mrs. Whatsit is a centaur like creature. The ending is also a little strange but I'm assuming that it ends the way it does because there are other books after this.

Los personajes se me hicieron todos desesperantes pero lo peor de todo fue la historia, no avanzaba y las escenas eran tan extrañas que no llegue a creerme nada en la historia. No conecte con ningún personaje y tarde más de dos meses en leer este librito de menos de 300 páginas. Una lástima, esperaba que me gustase.

I love the story - the original is easily in my top ten favorite books. While I enjoyed the graphic novel, and it may be a good gateway for younger kids to get into it, it just didn't compare to the richness of the original.
I quite like the book, but not too sure about this adaptation. It does miss some of L'Engle's lyricism.
I really liked how long it was. I didn't read it in one go and it had some really nice quotes. The art style was good and the color choices, but I would've liked if they had shown the red eyes. I really liked them in the movie adaptation. People out here judging the characters for being weird and obnoxious and let me tell y'all kids are just like that.
This is the first graphic novel I have read and is a great interpretation of a classic story. I read it to my 4 and 6 year old and they loved it. My 4 year old does not like listening to chapter books as much as my 6 year old. This was a great compromise, the more sophisticated plot of a chapter book, but with plenty of pictures.
Not thrilled about the graphics. It gave the book a rather "simple" look, and on some levels this is not a simple story. Minimal colour (which could have been used with some great effect, but the overall story and voices were true to the original book. I am just not sure that there was "added value" to creating a graphic novel out of this.
