Finally.

I’m behind the times certainly but after the provoking of many friends, I have read Sorcerer’s Stone.

It was very well assembled. A fantastic age-appropriate tale that is believable in its setting and gripping from chapter to chapter. It’s a furiously fast read with not a dull scene.

Highly recommended for those who enjoy fantasy, though Muggles, too, will have a great time.

i sadly wasn't among those who grew up with harry potter, so this was actually my first time reading it ☁

hogwarts started feeling like home so fast already, the atmosphere was on point, all the elements were incredibly creative and the fade-to-black passing time of the school year was honestly very well executed!

i'm so excited to continue the story and their adventures ❥

Okay, what do I have to say about this book? Because really, nothing comes to mind besides OMG I LOVED IT. I know J.K. Rowling is questioning and crazy as a person, but her writing is actually so good. It felt like I was there the whole time, part of the team, knowing all the secrets etc...
I'm just disappointed in myself for not reading the books before watching the movies; they have so many readaptations and this is one of the cases where you HAVE to say "the book was better than the movie". The only thing I'll say is Harry Potter is even more annoying in the books and I didnt expect that!

Harry Potter, you are my true love and nobody will ever change that. Thanks for saving my life so many times over and over again.

Originally I couldn't get in to the book. It was college and I wasn't as adept as losing myself in my imagination as I had been once upon a time. Fast forward 10 years or so. I watched the movies and was able to get lost in the wizard world. So I thought I would give the books another chance. I couldn't put it down. Once again the ability to be transported to another world was alive and well inside me. I look forward to the rest of the books.

description

4 STARS of course!

I re-read the series 9 years ago in preparation for book 7 and last week I decided to re-read the first book to cap off the end of my 2016 reading year. I want to re-read the rest of the series in 2017 but we will see how that works out considering how gigantic the last few books are. But reading this again brought back so many memories. I read the first book in Middle School on printed pieces of paper because for some reason our teacher could only get a hold of 10 copies, so the rest of us had to read it in a three ring binder lol it was still fun. I didn't however pick up the rest of the books in the series until High School but Harry Potter was still a very huge thing for me in my teen years and I'll cherish it forever. - Richard
