You can borrow book & audio via KU. Love this series so much I go ahead and buy the Audible as soon as they’re released. It’s actually less expensive to buy the ebook for $5.99 & add the audio for $1.99 for less than the cost of a credit.

Ray Porter is phenomenal as a narrator ~ seamlessly switches between accents, personalized voices, genders, etc. With a cast of characters as large as this ~ it’s quite the achievement. He also maintains the same voice for each character across all the books, you can listen to them back to back and it’s like he recorded them in a continuous stream.

This opens about a year after the end of Crusader One. It’s possible to listen to this all on its own as we’re beginning a new phase of Ember and many of characters have shifted into new positions. (I can’t recommend the first 3 strong enough though.). An undercover CIA agent has been taken hostage and Jack Dempsey, along with the rest of Ember, are working to rescue her.

I love that we’re getting to know secondary characters better, especially Grimes. As with the other books, we’re treated to several action packed sequences, military OPs, and political posturing. I’m so impressed that Andrews & Wilson give us even more female characters that are strong, intelligent, and vital members of their respective agencies/teams. No TSTL characters here.

I’ve already downloaded Red Specter and can’t wait to continue the series.

Scarily close to the current international political situation!

Amazing as always.

This book was amazing. While still set in the Middle East. The Russian's are making moves in the region and are setting up the chess bored. I can't wait to see how Task Force Ember reacts to Spetzgrupa Z.

Wow, this is one thrilling ride through a plot so devious that you have no clue where it will lead. American Operator by Brian Andrews and Jeffrey Wilson is the fourth book about John Dempsey and the Ember group. This one is mostly set in Turkey and Syria. It also contains my favorite character so far, Amraz "Raz" Demir. I hope he gets his new BMW and turns up in more stories, he was brilliant. It's interesting to read about this strange political landscape that is set both in Europe and the middle east. It has a big problem that probably never will see a good solution. Great work gentlemen.

Another smashing read from the Tier One series

Thrillers and military fiction is one of my favorite genres and comprises a lot of the reading that I do. This is one of the best current series in the genre. I give 5* grudgingly, and have given every single book in this series a 5. The plot is totally believable, the character development is simply outstanding and the action is breath taking. Another masterpiece by one of my favorite authors. Absolutely loved it.

"Sure, it’s nice and liberating to take the Chill out, dude approach, but it’s the coward’s philosophy, the quitter’s philosophy. The only way to make a difference in this world, the only way we separate ourselves from inanimate objects, is through agency." Jeez, you basically can substitute any word for "agency." I like it.

I like the title too. Yo Brah... Do you even operate. I am soooo tactic-cool. Ha!

Thanks for writing fella's.
