This book was so much better than the first one! I loved this book. I loved Theo and Dalton both. They were just amazing characters. Their chemistry was awesome with so much tension between them. It was really amazing and I look forward to the next book,

My first Lenora Bell book but definitely not the last. I was swept away by this emotional and sweet romance. Full review to come.

Lady Dorothea Beaumont got a rum deal with her parents! She came through for her half-sister in the last book by rebelling and not marrying the Duke of Harland. She's not interested in becoming the Duchess of Osborne by any means!! The Duke, Dalton, quite agrees!! Until she enters his quarters late one night and they run off to Ireland! Adventure ensues!!! Lenora is fast becoming an auto-buy for me!

A road-trip regency that was lots of fun! Thea made a pretty quick shift from being painfully shy to out-and-out brazen with Dalton, but once she did the book became compulsively readable with lots of little side plots and interesting characters.

Yet another frothy "historical" romance with more romance than history. Pleasant enough, but relatively early on there were some scenes which brought to mind "Devil in Winter" (probably my favorite romance novel) and for the rest of the novel I was torn between finishing it and simply re-reading Lisa Kleypas. The general plot is extremely generic and the characters, too, felt fairly generic. The book dealt pretty heavily with Ireland in that vague, modern, romantic way - no real attention devoted to the hostilities of the era - which added to the feeling that this wasn't taking place in a particular historical time period. The characters were pleasant enough but had no "grab" to them: I was happy to spend a book in their company but two hours after finishing it would have had to scramble to tell you their names. You will like this novel if this is the sort of novel you like, but it will probably not be knocking any of your favorites off the shelf.

Somewhere between a 3.5 and a 4 star. I really liked the relationship between the hero and the heroine and the secondary characters of Con and Molly were excellent. However, the plot of the Hellhound, while intriguing, simply rolled over with a whimper and a conclusion off the page. I would have liked a bit more out of that. Definitely going to read the third in the series and back up to pick up the first (I have it on my nook but haven't got to it yet).

I think this might wind up being my favorite series from Lenora Bell.
A few of my favorite things, a roadtrip, confined quarters, single bed.....
All Thea wants is to have one last lackluster season then she can go back to living with her aunt in Ireland and be who she wants to be. Who she wants to be is the woman that catalogues all the priceless artwork locked away in the Duke of Osbornes neglected estate next door to her aunt. She writes several letters to try and convince him to allow it, but he stubbornly refuses.
Osborne doesn't trust Thea as it was her mother that tried to trick his BFF in the last book, he thinks she's trying to trap him into marriage, so he dances with her making her incredibly popular and thinks he's done a good deed..... until she shows up at his flat and basically blackmails him into helping her run away.
The chemistry between these 2 was a lot of fun, as was watching Thea become her own person.
