This is my dad’s favourite childhood book and I wish I could have connected with it the same way he did. It was quick and easy to get through but I didn’t find it very interesting. I know there’s a deeper meaning to this book but it honestly just didn’t hit for me. I still liked it at parts and I liked the tales within it. It did remind me of the Narnia franchise at times, I think because of the dated style it’s written.

I read this book in Hebrew first, English second, and French third. Every time the simplicity of the tale cuts clear to my very heart. It's one of those that I know I will read to my children - in all three languages, of course.

My all time favourite book

”All grown-ups were once children… but only few of them remember it.”
