4.26 AVERAGE

I’d give it a 3.5 if Goodreads would actually let people give half star reviews

3.5. I like this, it was whimsical and philosophical. Child like wonder is beautiful and we lose it when we become grown ups

I sat down with this short little book, endeavoring to merely start it - however I soon found myself at the end of it, after being drawn in so easily. This is a considerably deep book with lessons for all ages, but primarily aimed at adults I would say. The amount of wisdom packed into each short chapter is astounding. And if you are wondering, I think the Netflix adaptation is another well made companion to the book. It is not simply an animated version, but rather a companion story featuring the original story and a supplemental one alongside it.

It’s been years since I last read this, yet it’s every bit as beautiful as it was the first time.
