Cute

Interesting to read again as an adult. Due to its fame and strange format/children's book-ness I can't rate this - I would feel equally uncomfortable giving stars to The Gruffalo or The Very Hungry Caterpillar!!

I'm just a little prince (girl) trying to take care of my flower and volcanoes (friends) because I see them for who they are. Brb, will go and bawl now.

I can certainly see why it’s such a beloved story. The social commentary is pointed and still revenant to this day. It’s deceptive on the surface but leaves a lot of room for self reflection and conversation.
