I absolutely adore Fernando and Leif! L♥️VE!
They are both really exceptional and lovable characters.
They appear to be opposites, but I think they have some core things in common.
They both are very kind, smart, observant AND they both treat people with respect.

They have very different family situation’s, pasts and issues. However, they both value loyalty, friendship and family.

Together they are crazy hot and sexy! The playfulness and openness in their sexy times is scorching and really fun! Their chemistry is off the charts

How do these BFB books KEEP GETTING BETTER AND BETTER?! Holy cow I loved this book!! I felt both of these characters in some way. I know it may be me being naive and probably because I’ve never told my parents any “life changing” news but I just couldn’t believe how Leif’s parents reacted to him. I honest to goodness couldn’t believe how his mother acted later on in the book. It blew my mind and I realllllly wanted more of that to be resolved but I understand that he had to do what he did to have some type of closure for himself. Fernando was great too! I felt bad for him though because I know how he feels in regards to feeling like you have to help your family because they’re your family. He’s a good brother no matter what his brothers say! Leif and Fernando had awesome chemistry and I was so glad they took a chance on each other! Even if it was just supposed to be a one night stand. I loved getting to see some last characters make an appearance in this book. And HOLY COW. The last chapter of the book had me screaming at my phone because I need that book ASAP. I was not prepared for that chapter. I wasn’t ready to be inside his mind. Although, I’m excited to read it. Part of me thinks it might be emotional. I don’t know. But I can’t get enough and I’m so ready for the next one! Misty Walker did so good with this couple!!

Has a book ever connected with your soul and steamed up your ereader all at the same time? Leif's Serenity reached inside me and touched so many personal buttons, it's almost hard to describe, but it was also personal and heartfelt all at the same time.

Let's start with the obvious, hard to describe (but always super hot) reasons to my beginning statement;  I am not a gay man. However, that never stops me from loving this genre nor loving the experience that any author brings to the table when walking in the character's shoes. Any experience outside of my daily life is why I love to read and Fernando and Leif are stupid hot, period end sentence. They are matched perfectly when it comes to the bedroom and from moment they meet one another their chemistry is through the roof. Where they both suffer, and what I connected with personally, is when it comes to matters of the heart. This is the part of the story I felt down to my bones. Misty's writing is soul shifting and why I also love returning to Brigs Ferry Bay over and over again.

When you strip away the gender factor and place anyone in the center of this story, it is relevant. Fernando's father is sick with early onset Alzheimer's, it's a disease that is more prevalent and hitting more and more people every year. While Fernando is helping his family he's also running the family business and trying to keep his younger brothers in check. It's a lot of pressure for a young man, but family is important and while he may never really have time for himself it's just what you do, it's obviously what Fernando does and he's running on empty when Leif comes to town. When they meet Fernando lights up, something he hasn't felt for a long time, or possibly ever. Even though Fernando has a strict policy to never date or hook up with anyone local, he gets attached. Leif is sweet and kind and just really darn likeable.

Leif is single, has no family since his parents abandoned him when he came out at the age of eighteen and with his job of traveling he also has no attachments except his one friend from high school, Ava. Leif is the complete opposite of Fernando when it comes to drowning in family commitments, but what I love about this story is that when Leif meets the Lopezes they welcome him in with open arms and no judgements. Leif sits patiently with Fernando's father when even people in town grew distant once his symptoms really set in. Leif is kind and warm even when his own family never showed him what a loving environment is. He's drawn to Fernando who's entire life screams commitment, but never once asks Leif to change his life. I think it's the magic of Brigs Ferry Bay along with the draw of Fernando's co...oking that Leif ultimately finds attractive.

This story cracked open my chest and really drove home the point that family is what you create and not what you are necessarily born into. It also shows how powerful kindness and love really can be. I know we don't get enough of that in the world, but certainly if we spread a little more around the world would be a much better place.

This was my first book by Misty Walker. I'm all in now! Loved both Leif & Fernando. They were totally each other's ying & yang. The chemistry between them was super hot & steamy. So many awesome twists & turns. So happy I got to spend more time in the quaint town of Brigs Ferry Bay. And i'm delighted that it appears that more books are on the way!

Another drama filled gay romance hits Brigs Ferry Bay with Leif and Fernando!

Leif is a travel blogger.
Leif in Wonderlust.
After being kicked out of his home the day of his high school graduation when he announced he was gay to his small town(small minded) conservative parents, he left and never looked back at the farm he grew up on and was supposed to take over.
He made a name for him with a successful blog and has been traveling the world till he landed in Brigs Ferry Bay and decided to hit on one of their local restaurants.
Meet Fernando. A brother. A son. A caretaker. With the weight of the world on his shoulders trying to help his mom take care of his father who has early onset alzheimer’s, he’s had to take over the family restaurant and keep an eye on his younger brother. The restaurant is in financial crisis and his mama refuses to put her husband in a home to take some stress of her and Fernando.
His life is at a standstill of worry and work.

Leif walks in. Leif and Fernando instantly hit it off and flirt.
After a night of fun, they don’t want to stop seeing each-other.
With Leif being in town for a week, they make the best it. Or try too.
“He gives my thigh a squeeze, and for exactly one and half seconds, I am the happiest person in the world. Fernando’s hand on me is like rollercoasters and butterflies.”

Fernando and Leif are just adorable together. Between family drama, small town drama, and Leif unsure on where or if he even wants to lay roots down, this couple need to figure things out.
Can two people fall in love this fast?
Fated mates perhaps?

This novel opens up for another characters book that I am giddy over reading... If it happens.

From the first book in this series I knew I had to read every single book in this series. And if Brigs Ferry Bay were a real place, I would be headed there. This quiet seaside small town is filled with an amazing cast of characters wit
Leif is the definition of Wanderlust. He dreamed of being a travel blogger, getting paid to travel the world and encourage others to travel. After a painful coming out he was finally able to live out his dream. Leif has over a million followers on Instagram watching him travel the globe, but inside he is lost. He doesn’t have an actual home and lives in hotels or his car. He carries all of his belongings with him. The only person he is tied to is his best friend, Ava. He realizes his life is far from Instagram perfect. A gig brings him to Brigs Ferry Bay where he finds his way into Fernando’s family's diner.
Fernando is busy running his family's diner, caring for his ailing father, supporting his mother, and keeping his younger brothers in line. There is no time for fun. Let alone a relationship. But it is really what he is craving. He desperately needs some time for himself to be the person that he wants to be, not what others need. So when Leif wanders into town, they agree a week of no strings attached sex is what they both need. And it is HOT. Very hot. These two have an amazing connection. There is a pretty awesome scene in the moonlight that you don’t want to miss! What Leif and Fernando never bargained for was a connection like they have never experienced.

While the focus of the story is on Leif and Fernando, obviously Walker included some amazing and strong supporting characters in this story. Fernando’s mom, Lucy is the mom we all need in our lives. While her world is crumbling she takes sweet Leif in and loves this lost boy. Another favorite of mine was Leif’s best friend, Ava. She is sassy, funny, and is not afraid to put Leif in his place. She also becomes a mom, and watching her support and stand up for Leif was perfection.

I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a little angst with their romance, a good amount of steamy scenes, funny banter and fabulous side characters. I think you need to read this series! This entire series needs to be read to fully understand the dynamics!

Leif's Serenity was so good! I loved that we finally got Fernando's story and saw a side that i didn't know about but loved to read. And Leif despite how his story began he came out strong and proud. And rised above his parents. But i loved the support he got from Brigs Ferry and the residents. Fernando's mom surprised me but it wasn't bad i loved her cause all she wanted was for her boy to be happy. As a mom i can totally get it! But seriously loved this book i CAN'T wait for Ricky's book. They left us hanging haha!

Brigs Ferry Bay is a place I wish was real! I would love to visit!

I wasn't sure what story Fernando had in store but what was happening behind the scenes of this family's restaurant was a surprise. Enter Leif right at the perfect time and these two have an insta love that was just perfect. What was supposed to be a one night stand hooked them both in a way that they started the battle of how to stay together. With so much going on in Fernando's life it was amazing he had time for anything else. Leif gave him some calm while Fernando gave Leif a solid place to call home. Theirs was a beautiful story and I'm so glad to have gotten to read it!
