I almost DNF’d this so many times and I actually DID soft DNF it for a couple weeks bc why on EARTH was the first half so dang slow???
in the end, it did get better. the twists weren’t life changing to me though, which is what I’ve come to expect from Holly Jackson, but there were some emotional moments and I did indeed cry
also one whole star gets removed bc Bel was the most insufferable FMC I’ve ever met

This book didn’t hook me in at all. I loved GGGTM until the last book but this one wasn’t first me, the main character was unlikeable from the start.

It was a great book. Hooked from the beginning. Then it kept going. And twisting. I was intrigued the whole time. All in all it was a fun listen!

this was an absolutely wild ride but i was invested the entire time and really enjoyed it!
i really enjoyed the emphasis on family (both positive and negative...) and, contrary to some other reviews, also really liked bel's character! she was definitely prickly, but i feel like her reactions and defenses made sense with her backstory and it was nice to see her start to grow from it, especially closer to the end! also ofc ash, my best friend! my only complaint is that he wasn't in the book more tbh
