Of all Holly Jackson's books, this is probably my least favourite. I think potentially, had I not read AGGGTM before, I might have liked it more and found it that much more enjoyable.

There's a lot of good bits and sections I liked within the book, I just don't think it worked well all together; there's not enough cohesion between them for certai  aspects of the story to make sense and be believable. I also thought the build up was both too slow and there wasn't enough to give me genuine interest or curiosity to want to keep reading.

I did like some of the characters and their relationship, and maybe had I continued I might have liked them more, but i also thought too many of them lacked depth and motivation, so I wasn't necessarily invested in what happened to them.

Holly Jackson doesn’t miss. The Reappearance of Rachel Price is another brilliant thriller with sharp writing, complex family dynamics, and a completely unexpected twist that hit hard. I went in thinking I had it figured out - and I was so wrong, in the best way.
The pacing kept me hooked, and the layers of secrets unfolding felt believable without being over-the-top. Jackson has a real talent for making her teen protagonists smart but still realistically flawed. If you love twisty mysteries with emotional depth, this one delivers. 4.5 for sure!
