See on raamat, mille peale võib iga ilmaga kindel olla.

I have a friend who loves the Moomin books! I had never heard of this series of Finnish children's books prior to a few years ago when I borrowed the first book in the series from my friend. She recently gave me this one with the comment that it would be good to read if I was ever feeling anxious or down about something.
That stipulation having been well met over the past month, I read this. If you're familiar with the Moomins, you know what to expect! If not, these are gentle, funny, but also mildly melancholy stories about the people and creatures of Moominland. Snufkin, The Hemulen, Little My, The Fillyjonk, and more. Each story has some kind of little theme, that might resonate with children and adults: loyalty; overcoming trauma through humor; respecting others' choices; letting go of fear; etc. There's even a Christmas story here!

Hey! My last Moomin book to read. I have now re read all the Moomin books in 2007 =)
This one is a collection of short stories about the moomins and other characters living in Moominvalley. Some are better than others and I don't think this is my favourite Moomin book. But it was still worth reading.
2016 note - review from my bookcrossing 2007 journal.

One of the best children's books I have ever read. The important issue of what happens when a child is neglected but also the importance of anger as a feeling. Good book for both children and adults. I will def use this in the future both with my own children and in the classroom.
Minor: Emotional abuse
