Smart, funny, poignant, wise, and much more.

This is my first Kurt book, which is fun/amusing for two reasons: 1. It’s the last book he wrote (I think). 2. It’s not fiction (like I thought). It’s just ramblings of an 80-something-year-old man.

It’s not what I expected at all, but I enjoyed it. He is as smart as a whip, and all the things he brought up and discussed I had thought much about. He organized my scrambled thoughts in a neat format (a book) and made sense of it.

Not gonna lie, this book sorta made me feel no hope for humanity but also made me appreciate humanity.

Humans are ugly and beautiful. The earth is beautiful and ruined (?). Life is hilarious and deadly serious. Etc.

Things were rough in 2004/2005 and things are rough now. *sighs in gen z*.

P.S. his comment on using semi-colons was so funny to me. I use them all the time (incorrectly, I’m sure). What a witty old dude.
